The aim is to work on activities where citizens and end users are not only asked to identify the relevant challenges in their city, aligning them with the challenges of New European Bauhaus, but they are also allowed to co-create potential solutions in an ideation process. It is hoped that this will encourage/incentivize adopting more sustainable habits, by creating new products, services or solutions with citizens, empowering citizens to implement new solutions in their communities and leading to change by actively influencing local policies. All proposals must include and integrate the three core values of New European Bauhaus (sustainability, ethics, inclusion) and the three key principles of New European Bauhaus (multi-level, inclusive and interdisciplinary approach) in their projects.

Its aim is to address the challenges which face cities, suburban and rural areas, focusing on New European Bauhaus challenges, innovation and action in public spaces through citizen participation in redesigning it. The call for proposals will identify inspiring, beautiful, sustainable and inclusive project proposals, demonstrating new solutions to boost the transformation of cities, suburban and rural areas, reconciling people and communities with nature, providing a sense of belonging, meeting the demands of regions and communities which require specific attention and transforming the value chains and life of materials towards circularity.
