This participatory and multidisciplinary event will take place on día 21 de Marzo at the Science Park of the Instituto de Fomento (INFO), located at Ctra. de Madrid Km 388 - Complejo de Espinardo.

This workshop, which aims to promote the involvement of those responsible for the development and urban management of cities, is organised by the Directorate General for Spatial Planning and Architecture, in collaboration with the European programme The Horizon Policy Support Facility (European Commission) and the European project Go Green Routes as a dissemination of nature-based solutions and application of co-creation systems.

With this workshop we will become aware of how important and necessary it is to apply nature-based solutions in urban environments in our region, we will reflect on the role that these interventions can play within urban green infrastructure and local biodiversity strategies, we will also have the opportunity to deepen on the specific barriers to implement SBN in these spaces of opportunity and provide methodologies or experiences that help to overcome barriers successfully.

The workshop will be Delivered by the experts of the European Policy-support-facility programme.in which the Region of Murcia participates together with 38 other local and regional authorities from 12 European Member States.

The European Policy Support Facility Programme is a programme of support, of technical assistance for the regions most vulnerable to the effects of climate change, with this programme we have the opportunity to receive personalised support to advance in the implementation of our measures to adapt to climate change.

Two experts will accompany our region on our resilience journey, they are; the Mr. Roger Mollins  national governance expert and the Mr. Magnus Qvant expert in natural disaster risk reduction.

We will dynamically address the problems, challenges and opportunities through various projects and works carried out with solutions based on the nature of various municipalities in our region, and on the basis of these we will measure indicators of the future benefits that these solutions will bring to the municipalities.
